This jali window is made as one framed panel. Its openings radiate from the centre in rings of petals, and a gold peacock is set at the heart of the pattern, with leaf shapes filling the corners.
A single panel like this, made to a custom drawing, shows how a jali can be a centrepiece as well as a screen.
